PEI (Promoção do Empreendedorismo Imigrante)

Area: Training and support in starting a business

– a (free) course in business basics and entrepreneurship, specifically for immigrants (promoted by ACIDI, a governmental organization/ public institution, aimed at the integration of migrants and ethnic minorities and fostering diversity); includes individual consultation and follow-up sessions.

Start-up Pirates

Area: Entrepreneurship

– a one-week acceleration program for entrepreneurs in-the-making; offers intensive training through workshops and seminars, as well as inspiring speakers and networking opportunities; a plus is their international approach (the program is also presented in different cities in Portugal, including Porto, Lisbon, Sao Joao de Madeira and Braga).

Cidade das Profissões

Area: Providing information and training opportunities

– offers individual consultation, as well as guidance about the relevant institutions to contact; provides information and training, related to entrepreneurship; has computer and internet access.

ANDC (Associação Nacional de Direito ao Crédito)

Area: Microcredit

– non-profit (private) association aimed at helping people who do not have access to credit and who would like to start their own business; also offers assistance in developing a business plan.
