Blackburne House is a social enterprise whose aim is to work with low paid or unemployed women in Liverpool to equip them with the skills to help them find employment in technical professions.
Claire Dove, CEO of Blackburne House found herself becoming a social entrepreneur when she herself experienced employment discrimination in the early 70s. Unable to find the right employment and training assistance, she created her own opportunity. And in creating an opportunity for herself, she has created opportunities for others women too.
